Brenger & Unc Inc, looking back on a unique partnership

From that first presentation of their business plan to a platform that is the official transport partner of Marktplaats and BVA Auctions, among others, it is a beautiful journey we have been on with Brenger over the past four years. Now that the technical handover is complete, we look back on a unique partnership with founders Derk van der Have and Wisse Koedam.

Derk van der Have, co-founder and CEO of Brenger, recalls the first steps in the cooperation: 'Unc Inc's advice was super important, especially in our first phase. And not only in technology, also on a strategic level. For example, they helped us put things in the right order: first a tight design for a pitch deck that would allow us to secure funding, only then start building the platform. It was crucial to achieving our initial success, and at that stage it quickly amounts to make-or-break

'Of course, Unc Inc did an excellent job helping us develop the website from the beginning,' adds Wisse Koedam, co-founder and COO/CFO of Brenger. 'You can expect that from a leading digital agency. But perhaps more important was that they didn't hesitate to challenge our ideas. Thus, they forced us to sharpen our ideas and make them better. As a young and inexperienced founder, that's exactly what you need.'

Head of Development Hugo Jan Ruiter: "Unc Inc has proven to be a party that can deliver new features quickly and well. This has made them very important to Brenger. From the beginning, Unc Inc worked in Brenger's interests; they were actually our technical department. When we started hiring our own developers, they formed a team with them and gave them excellent support. Even in the final technical transfer, they were always very helpful and constructive, something that contributed greatly to the smooth and gradual transition. That's just great class!

Floris de Langen, CEO of Unc Inc, tries to explain the success of Brenger: 'Our very first advice was to speak to potential bringers at gas stations and ask questions about their needs and the concept of Brenger. A week later they had already done this extensively! Derk and Wisse's learning ability is one of the most important factors of their initial successes, as far as I'm concerned. So nice to see where Brenger is now and proud that Unc Inc was able to contribute to that!
