When Spares in Motion approached us, they were a startup in need of a corporate identity and online platform. Now we have grown into online partners with Unc Inc doing monthly maintenance and regular updates.

Online platform

The main goal of the platform was to link "supply and demand" by bringing buyers and sellers closer together. The main target audience is buyers, who are often owners of multiple wind turbines. Sellers are the manufacturers and resellers of wind turbine parts.

We have developed a platform that allows sellers to create an account and offer their products from there. These include wind turbine parts, repairs, services and complete wind turbines. The platform provides insight into your supply and the demand from others. All communication between buyers and sellers goes through the platform using quote requests and personal messages. Buyers can also submit a request for an item they are looking for. Periodic mailings are sent to segments of Spares in Motion users to best match supply and demand.

The way one can search is specifically set up based on the different product types offered on Spares in Motion. By using Solr, we can display products that match buyers' demand. Using facets, the user can easily specify the demand and find the right products.

Brand identity

After thorough research and several creative sessions, we came to the conclusion that Spares in Motion needed a textual logo, rather than just an image, due to the long name.
We created a minimalist symbol of the blades of a windmill to add visual context to the logo. Since they are a B2B startup, we had chosen a strong and robust font. The color, the same as a blue sky, underlines the identity of Spares in Motion. Finally, a style guide was created to reinforce the brand strategy and ensure a visual identity.

In addition to web design, we also created printed media for Spares in Motion. These designs are a combination of photography and illustration. Photographs make it clear which product categories Spares in Motion sells, the illustrations explain how it works.

Statistics

Using statistics, the seller gains insight into which products convert best and why. Users can indicate whether they are interested in buying or selling and receive relevant suggestions based on these preferences. With statistics and preference settings, Spares in Motion gets an increasingly clear picture of users' needs and can use this to continue to optimize its offerings and services.
