TNO-Arbeid, in cooperation with VROM, facilitates talks between environmental organizations and the chemical industry to gain insight into the harmful substances issue. Many of these talks and negotiations end in a situation where the parties are even more firmly entrenched in their positions than before. In short: talking often does not get them anywhere. This is unfortunate and damaging, both for the polder and the environment.

In cooperation with Arboriginals we have devised and developed JijLand: an interactive game show in which the parties gain insight into their own and each other's points of view and are occasionally led astray. This is done by assigning a character for each person participating in the discussion. By answering multiple-choice questions, the person is placed in one of four character categories, which is then represented by giving the person's character different garments.
