Chiquita, the world's largest banana supplier, launched a major marketing campaign in late 2007, conceived by the international advertising agency Ogilvy. Unc Inc was asked to develop the entire online part of the campaign. This consisted of two parts: on the one hand, visitors could enter a barcode, which they received with the bananas in supermarkets, on the site for a chance to win great prizes. On the other hand, they could send a "bananagram" to friends: a fun message on a 3D animated banana. The campaign for Chiquita in the Netherlands was a success, after which the project was followed up in other European countries.
