Beakon is an app that provides relevant information based on where you currently are. By letting phones connect to each other, Beakon lets you see the people around you based on the distance between them. Learn more information about the people around you, and connect with them via LinkedIn. Business cards become obsolete with this!
By placing iBeacons in tactical places (for example, at booths during an event), the app can provide information about your immediate surroundings. Instead of looking for information, the app presents the info to you based on distance.
For the Appril festival at A-Lab, we incorporated the location of all the businesses into the app, and through several iBeacons throughout the building, the app can tell you where you are and what's going on around you.
