This is Kim, developer at Unc Inc. He comes from Enkhuizen, loves horror movies and his biggest attribute is his hair. He has the longest hair in the office and knows the most about hair care. But his long locks also have a rough side, they perfectly match his taste in metal music.
Eight months ago, out of boredom during his Enkhuizen - Amsterdam train trip, Kim started learning Chinese. His goal is to learn a new foreign language within a year, and he has come a long way. To complete that year, he will go to China for four weeks in September. Why learn a foreign language? "As a developer, you often learn new programming languages and I thought it would be fun to learn a non-technical language for a change."
What is your role at Unc Inc?
"I am a Developer, front-end and back-end and daily I am mostly typing lots of code." Kim works on many different projects and also works on optimizing our own Unc Inc website.

What do you like about working at Unc Inc?
"That I can work on very varied and unique projects. In addition, I like our team. Everyone is always happy and we get along well. We have a close bond with each other. There is no negative atmosphere and we joke around a lot."
Is there a specific project you are proud of?
"That's Changeroo, software that allows you to visualize Theory of Change. I think it's cool that it's made with React, a Javascript framework created by Facebook. It's a unique project and on a technical level I get challenged quite a bit."

At Unc Inc, we love food. So of course we have to broach this subject. Can you talk a little about food and Unc Inc, for example, what is your favo sandwich? "Simply, with cheese and ham. Also, not too long ago I made tortillas with two colleagues for the whole team."

Where do you get your inspiration?
"The trending page of GitHub. This is where a lot of popular contemporary projects come along. And further conferences like The Next Web or Drupal Jam, where we recently went with the whole development team."
Inspired by smart products, Kim created his own smart mirror last year. He's never late now ;)
To whom will you pass the baton and what would you like to ask him or her?
"Our project manager Evelien. My question to her is, "If you could speak a new foreign language with one snap of your fingers, which one would it be?""
