Together with Arjen van Dijkhuizen from Generous Minds we have mapped the entire common journey from donors and patients. From the first thoughts of donating, the orientation and screening phase through to the aftercare and recovery. This map became the lead motive of the website and it offers all the information about the overal donation and transplantation process.
Besides that we shared different stories about the experiences of donors and patients. Because these kind of processes can be very emotional, it is nice to be able to read these kind of stories. A donor or patient could feel really supported by knowing they are not alone in this. In a 'question and answer' kind of model, we made it possible for people to ask questions if there are any unclearities or doubts. There is even an overview from every treatmentcenter in the Netherlands.
After the development process, we tested the website together with actual donors, patients and potentials. The conclusions that arose from this were very useful to us. Now we were able to do some last adjustments in order to make it even better. It also gave us insight into how the website was experienced by the audience.
